The 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of St. Paul’s Convent School Parent Teacher Association (SPCS PTA) was held in a sunny day on October 5, 2013 at the school hall. Over 130 participants including teachers and members of SPCS PTA attended the events. We are grateful that in addition to our PTA Exco members, Ms Gigi Mak, SPCS PTA Legal Advisor, Mrs Lina Cheng and Mrs Lilian Hui, our past Chairladies, also kindly graced us with their presence in the event.
The meeting was commenced by a welcome speech by our Masters of Ceremony Mr Chow Chin and Ms. Lorna Wong. Our Chairlady Ms Rebecca Chan has presented the annual report and made a presentation to summarize the activities organized by the PTA during the past year. Rebecca has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the PTA Advisor, Principal Rev Sr. Margaret, 2012/2013 PTA Executive Committee Members, Legal Advisor, Auditor, Teachers, PTA members, and parent volunteers for their invaluable advice, support and contributions offered to the PTA last year.
The organization structure of PTA and the 2013/2014 Executive Committee team were presented. The new Chairlady Ms Jacqueline Wong made a note of thanks to teachers, Exco members, parents and past Chairladies for their dedicated efforts and contributions.
In acknowledgement of the contribution and commitment made by the Parents Teachers Association in the past year, Principal Rev Sr. Margaret presented the Appreciation Certificates to the outgoing PTA Exco members of 2012/2013, Honorary Auditor and Legal Advisor. To mark the occasion, a group photo was taken on the stage.
Another highlight of the day was a thought provoking and informative talk presented by Ms Shirley Loo on “Instilling positive values in teens”. Ms Loo is a famous writer, an experienced youth worker and a parenting counselor.
